BTS means bulletproof boy scouts in Korean (Bangtan Sonyeondan). The group name signifies its commitment and its aim to be the shield that protects teenagers from the stereotypes, criticisms and expectations that are aimed at them like bullets.

BTS (Bangtan Boys) 방탄소년단 is a 7-member South Korean boy group under Big Hit Music (part of HYBE Labels). Formed in 2010 & debuted on Jun 13, 2013 with the lead single ‘No More Dream‘ from the album ‘2 Cool 4 Skool‘. On June 15, 2022, BTS members started focusing on solo music waiting for members to fulfil their military services. The seven members of BTS are: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
