Born in Yongin, Gyeonggi province, South Korea. She has an older brother. She was revealed as a new member of the SECRET NUMBER in October 17, 2021.

She likes playing the piano, composing/singing, dancing and acting. MINJI helped composing their song Hola and White Day.

Before the group, Minji opened her own YouTube channel where she posted her singing a cover of a Billie Eilish song.
