Seonghwa was the fifth member to join KQ Entertainment becoming the oldest member of the group.
Seonghwa is considered the mom of the group. However, he recently said that each members has grown and that he feel like he and Hongjoong doesn’t have to take on these roles anymore.

He was born in Jinju, Gyeongnam, South Korea. He studied in Australia. In High School, he was the head of the dance club. He is fluent in English and can also speak basic Japanese. In 2021, Seonghwa, along with Yunho, San and Jongho, debuted as an actor in the Korean drama ‘Imitation‘. He played the role of Seyoung, a SPARKLING‘s member.

His hobbies are watching dramas, building action figures, cleaning, ASMR and playing games & loves Star Wars and LEGO. He sometimes enjoy playing Animal Crossing.

His favorite colors are Black, Silver and Blue. His role models are Shinee‘s Taemin and EXO‘s Kai.

Seonghwa’s microphone color is silver because he wanted to get one since he was a trainee and he thinks it’s cool.
