Wooyoung’s motto is “Let’s be happy.”

He was born in Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. He has an older brother and a younger brother. he attended to Hanlim Multi Arts High School and was in the same class with Golden Child‘s Tag and Idol School‘s Bin Haneul during his Senior Year. As Yeosang, Wooyoung was a former Big Hit trainee. After leaving Big Hit, Wooyoung had a choice about companies but chose to join KQ Entertainment because of Yeosang. He said that they will ever succeed together or fail together.

Wooyoung was the last member to join KQ Entertainment.

His favorite hobbies are collecting clothes, gaming and bullying Seonghwa.

Wooyoung has three tattoos: one on his rib saying ‘sin prosa sin pausa’ (meaning ‘don’t hurry but don’t stop’), another on his knee with the word ‘amicus ad aras’ (meaning ‘friends until the end’) which is a friendship tattoo with San and the last one is on his back and says ‘I’m never alone and I will never be’.

His role models are BTS‘ Jimin, HIGHLIGHT‘s Gikwang and Shawn Mendes.

Wooyoung’s microphone color is black because it’s his favorite color.

In January 2023, Wooyoung appeared in JTBC’s documentary ‘Fill In The Blank’.
